Dr. Paulette Bryant knew from a young age that medicine was in her future. She just didn’t think she’d be working on people. “I wanted to be a veterinarian,” Dr. Bryant recalled, “but I found out I had terrible animal allergies. My chaplain, who is now one of my best friends, told me when God closes a door he usually opens a really nice window.”
That statement led Dr. Bryant to pursue other opportunities in medicine. “I went to a pre-med program at Cornell University,” she explained. “I decided it was even more wonderful to help people, especially children.”
Dr. Bryant has found a home to do just that here at Presbyterian Blume Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Clinic. “The best part about this practice is the awesome doctors, nurses, Child Life and administrative staff,” she said. “They are compassionate, smart, wonderful people.”
When not at the office, Dr. Bryant enjoys spending time with her husband, mother, brother, niece and two nephews. “I enjoy visiting new places, walking on the beach and just hanging out,” she says.
