While some people shy away from hematology and oncology, Dr. Jessica Bell feels called to the field. She enjoys the medicine, and supporting families as they face incredible challenges. “As a parent and a physician,” Dr. Bell said, “I want to treat other people’s children the way I would want mine to be taken care of– with compassion, integrity, honesty and an absolute commitment to providing the best care possible.”
Dr. Bell has been a part of Novant Health Blume Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Clinic since 2008. “I work with an incredible group of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, Child Life specialists, social workers and administrative staff,” Dr. Bell explained. “Every person brings their utmost commitment and passion to this team.”
She knows that she and all of her coworkers are 100% committed to patient health. “I will do everything in my power to help your child reach their potential,” she said.
Outside the office, Dr. Bell enjoys spending time with her son and daughter. “We do everything together,” she said. “We cook together, play together, sing, read, dance, shop, travel… we love ‘family days!'”
